most internet users aren’t very adventurous when they’ve been online a while…

after their initial exuberance, most people conduct their life online via their list of favourite websites. many people have now spent years on the internet, and have a clutch of specific sites which they know to be useful or entertaining. so the lesson to be learnt seems to be that you need to catch your users early to get them at all. i’m not really convinced. whilst you get an awful lot of your traffic from regular users i think there are enough people who actually surf to keep a small dot com in business. the internet is not just for the big guys.
