i wrote some neat php scripts yesterday to go through my database of books and grab the codes from amazon to create links directly to the books. given the name of the author and the title of the book these scripts pull out the asin code from the amazon search page. the scripts do run into problems if you’ve happened to misspell your author’s names or have got the title’s slightly wrong. i got the codes for about 60% of the books on my shelves. there’s an amazon.com version and an amazon.co.uk version.
