Saddleworth

Today I learnt that, despite being in modern day Oldham borough, Saddleworth is historically in the West Riding and the Lancs/Yorks border doesn’t run along the ridge of the Pennines here as I thought it did. Another day I will descend into the valley and find it, along with the western bit of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
