Bike Ride
A ride of ups and downs, and not just 🏔ones. 1️⃣ ⬇️First time I left home I got a 🚲🔋 battery error. Went home, got some advice, sorted it out, had another cuppa, gingerly left home again. 2️⃣ ⬆️Got to Penistone just as a parade was finishing so ducked into the first cafe I saw with a seat, it turned out to be very nice actually thank-you @thecafecreme and by the time I realised they did have a breakfast menu I was committed to the Battenberg! 🍰😍3️⃣ ⬇️Wrenched my shoulder when I crunched my gears coming up from Penistone 😢4️⃣ ⬇️Ran into a road 🛑 closure that I thought they were 👷♂️working on and I couldn’t get through. Doubled back onto a different road, found I could have got through no problem 5️⃣ ⬆️But they’ve cut back the undergrowth on the @transpenninetrail and you can see the wood carvings again 6️⃣ ↗️and the electric ⚡️people have built an entire road, pretty much, to divert the trail so they can decommission the pylons from the @peakdistrictnationalpark - it’s odd seeing the pylons now carrying no wires. 7️⃣⬆️🚴🏻♀️🪫held out and got me home. #electricbike #oxygenbicycles #transpenninetrail #nationalcyclenetwork #penninecycleway #
