i like the way that yahoo pull out old tech stories and stick them into their news feed. from five years ago i find that palm were just bringing out a cheap pda in the uk. priced at £279 it had 128Kb of memory. more telling of the advances in pda technology is the fact that they describe that as being enough memory to store a thousand records. they’ve shaken off the glorified filofax tag today. mine’s packed with games, documents, ebooks, wireless internet stuff, the only bits i don’t use much are the address book and calendar type bits. today the m100 is selling for about a hundred quid, it’s only got 2Mb of memory but that’s eight times more for just over a third of the price. i make it 23 times better value in five years.
