🧽Scrubbed all the grouting in the shower clean.
🚫I only soft-deleted the stuff I thought was wrong so I was able to restore it easily when I realised it wasn’t.

📖 My reading mojo has definitely returned in the last few days.
⛅️The weather is definitely feeling much more normal (for the north of England) today.
🛏️ Clean sheets on the bed for a (hopefully) cooler sleep tonight.

🌅 Getting to watch the sunrise was a bonus that came along with the 4am airport drop off.
🗺️ The sat nav helping out when you realise it knows about the nighttime road closures that you don’t.
📦 The cat is enjoying the delivery box house in the garden.

🩳The offspring, who is off to even hotter climes, managed to find some shorts they liked enough to buy them.

📖 The mini library they’ve opened inside the leisure centre is great. It’s easier to pick something to read when I only have a small choice.
🛒 Doing the shopping meant we got to hang out in the supermarket aircon for a bit.

🐦Sitting outside at 5am listening to the birdsong. Also it’s nice and cool at that time.
🍪 The ginger biscuit recipe came out really chewy this time but that’s fine, so long as there are biscuits it’ll always be fine!
🧊 Discovered that the freezer freezes ice cubes really quite quickly. Very handy.

🪑Found a shady spot to sit and work in front of my house.
🥯 We found two bagels in the back of the cupboard so there were enough components for a meal without going to the supermarket.
🦋 Butterflies fluttering in the overgrown verges.

☕️Remembered to use up one of my free reward point coffees before I paid for it.
🍞 Cleaned a small mountain of crumbs out of the toaster.

🍱 Supermarket sushi I grabbed because the meal I wanted wasn’t available was much better than I expected.
☀️Getting home in daylight (just about) at 22:30.
🌇Gorgeous sunset with silhouettes of wind turbines, pylons and other industrial infrastructure. Always feels very video gamey.

🍛 The offspring made me an egg fried rice veggie stir fry for lunch.
👖 Lots of laundry washed and dried.
🌄Figured out a way to get my instagram posts imported on to my website. Some hassle but it’ll be worth it to have my archive where I own it.

🕸️Some website changes turned out to be much less of a headache than I expected.
🍦I know I picked ice cream as a good thing yesterday but today I bought a cornet and a lady told me how nice it looked and that was lovely.
💼 Managed to leave my bag, with my laptop, by the cycling parking in the middle of town and cycled home. After doing a rapid turnaround when I got home and noticed it wasn’t on my rack I raced back into town and found it sitting happily where I left it!

🌱 Pulled a wheelie bin worth of weeds out of the garden.
🍦There was medicinal ice cream to counteract the hay fever attack brought on by the weeds.
🗓️Realised that Vivaldi has a built in feed reader so I loaded up my last OPML archive and lots of 20+ year old RSS posts arrived from abandoned blogs. Much nostalgia.

🌞Woke up in the offspring’s flat this morning.
🌚Going to sleep in my parent’s house tonight.
💕Feeling very lucky to be sandwiched in between generations who get on well together.
