🚁 My mum escaped from hospital (from the way she said “escaped” I’m envisioning out the window, up the rope ladder, to the helicopter. Fortunately she shares my dumb sense of humour.)
🤫 Friday night was nice and peaceful at the library.
🥗I came up with a nice meal even though the supermarket aisles were distinctly uninspiring.

😴Went back to sleep after the cat’s 6am alarm call and I’ve definitely been less grumpy for that extra bit of shuteye.
👂 Listening (eavesdropping I guess but they were talking right next to where I was working) to two law students discussing their essays in the library was quite enlightening.
💡Figuring out one problem with today’s code gave me a good solution to something I realised was a bit wonky with yesterday’s.

🛒Shopping got done even though I really didn’t feel like it.

👩🏻💻I had the code that I couldn’t make sense of all through Friday afternoon working by 9:08 on Monday morning. Absolutely the correct decision to leave it be on Friday!
🪦Wandered around a cemetery I hadn’t been in before, very quiet and calming.

🔀Swapped two Kallax units around in my office without unloading them.
🪑 While I was in furniture moving mode I also swapped some chairs between rooms.
🌆 Looked up and the sky was lilac and yellow with cirrocumulus clouds. Then it went orange. Then red and with the dark grey clouds, well, basically the sky was lava.

🍂 Kicking my way through piles of dry leaves (today the leaves were soggy and I realised I missed the crunchy ones).
🥳 Party style games aren’t really my thing but playing the Just One word game with people with different cultural backgrounds was lots of fun.

🚶🏻♀️ Had a long walk out along the river & back along the other side.

🌟I descaled the kettle and it looks super shiny and new.
📚 Sorted out a bag full of books that are actually worth selling.
💰 It looks like the teen’s student finance application which has been much delayed is finally approved.

🚙 The sports centre car park that’s usually packed had plenty of spaces.
🚤 A quick boat check and the problem I found the other day is definitely not a bigger problem. All is well.
🐈 The cat has figured out how to do a flying jump up to my office window to make it clear she wants to come inside.

#3GoodThings on a day like this feels kind of futile but still.
✋🏼 I was able to lend a helping hand to someone who was struggling with her wheelchair at the kerb with a gutter full of leaves.
🐿️ I saw a squirrel carrying a nut (acorn or conker maybe) across the road.
🖼️I wandered round an art gallery for a bit, and it was calming.

🏙️ Enjoying building in Cities Skylines (the way I play it it should be called Villages Shores).
🥃A new bottle of Jura, which was on offer at the supermarket.
