🚶🏻♀️ Knocked up 11 000 steps despite not getting dressed until 16:30.
👘The second half of the one above really; spending most of the day in my pyjamas. (I apologise for abusing the kimono emoji, my pyjamas aren’t nearly that elegant.)
🥃Salted caramel vodka.

💷 Unexpected refund from a utility company (the accounts were closed & finalised months ago 🤷🏻♀️ ).
🌧️ The rain started just after I got back from my walk.
🎲 Got together with a friend for some Board Game Arena games.

🙌🏻 I had one last attempt to solve the problem, and it worked! (Well, I might have had another bash if it hadn’t worked but I could put work down and be happy with it for the day after that.)
🛒I love scanning my own shopping at the supermarket so I can pack the bags as I go round.
💰It’s payday.

📆 It is Monday of a, hopefully, perfectly ordinary week with nothing special going on and I am so ready for some mundane days.
👶 An old school friend posted that she has become a grandparent which made me happy.
✅ Archived everything in my email inbox apart from four messages that actually need dealing with, three of which are waiting on replies.

🏡 I was home alone for the first time in months, glorious. (Ok, I cleaned the bathroom in peace. 🤷🏻♀️ But now I have a clean bathroom.)
🍛 Supermarket Indian not-takeaway was very nice & just what I needed.
📱 New iPhone day! And the phone transfer went smoothly.

🌞 I couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous day for a nostalgic wander around one of the places I lived in as a teenager.
🌊 Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!
🛌 I got home (eventually, I hate traffic even when I am traffic) and slept for nine hours straight.

🏡 It’s been a long day but the teen is safely moved into their new termtime abode.
🛌 I have a whole bed to myself tonight.
🐈 The cat, much as I love her, absolutely cannot wake me up tomorrow.

📦 Mad packing has been done & the teen is almost ready to head back to uni.
😀 Plus they seem excited to get back - I’ve been kind of worried they were anxious about it but I think it’s just that it’s easier when it’s all happening and you can get on with it.
⛽️ I remembered to fill the car up at the cheap garage rather than forgetting about it until I’m on the motorway.

👞 I’ve purchased not one but two pairs of shoes! For me, that’s enough shoe shopping for a few years!
🛍️ Which was part of a generally all round successful family shopping trip. We are not really clothes shopping people so everyone coming home with stuff they like is good.
🍬 The fun of trying to identify Rowntree’s Randoms sweets, and the fact that we can’t eat them until we’ve come to an agreement on what they are.

🧽Went shopping with the teen for some new year at uni items they wanted, which turned out to be mostly cleaning products?!
🍛 The paneer curry that my partner made for tea was delicious.
🏙️ Cities skylines multi creator livestream was fun to watch this evening, so much enthusiasm.

🏦 The bank were quite happy to swap my out of date bank notes for real money.
📚 I took a bag of used books, mostly crafty ones, to WHSmith and swapped them for a gift voucher under their recycling scheme.
👩🏻💻I went coffee shop & library & leisure centre hopping and got a decent amount of work done whilst enjoying myself too.

📦 All the piled up stuff in my office is now kind of sorted out, not quite all put away but it’s getting there.
💷 An old purse I found in one of the boxes contained £60 in old twenties, and it looks like my bank should accept them.
🌧️ Dodged the rain nicely this evening, it seemed to be raining all the time I was playing games in the pub but not on the ride there or home.

👓 My new reading glasses seem to be pretty much right. (The habit of taking my glasses off to read things is going to be harder to kick though!)
🍂Put on a skirt & top I haven’t worn for ages. Then realised, oh yes, these are autumn clothes. This is fine, I like autumn.
📦 Some of the boxes that have been in my office for months have been emptied and sorted out.

☔️ Despite it being a super rainy day we didn’t get soaked through taking the boat back home to the marina. (We got wet, but a dry-outable amount.)
🏡 Safe and dry at the house now! Hot running water on demand feels right luxurious.
⌨️I’ve cleaned my desk up ready to get a good start on Monday morning.

🌞 The last hurrah of summer I think. Sun cream was definitely needed.
🚤 We had a very nice trip up the canal.
🥬 And found a lovely tapas restaurant for dinner. “The tastiest cabbage I’ve ever had” sounds like damning with faint praise, but believe me it was laden with pistachios and absolutely gorgeous!

🚤 Playing tourists in the city we live in is delightful. It’s funny how much arriving by boat, and staying in the centre, rather than walking in from home changes things up.
📺 Amusing ourselves by checking our beers in on Untappd and getting on the big screen at the bar.
👩❤️👩The all-women crew who needed to tow their broken down boat past our moored one made an awesome team.

🌃 I think this is my first Cities Skylines 2 city that neither me or my 2831 citizens hate within the hour.
🍂 Fallen leaves have suddenly appeared in one spot along the road and it’s very colourful. It’s like just that one tree paid attention to it turning to autumn.
🐱 The cat is definitely in the house this evening.

🛒 I found the French biscuits the teen loved in France in the UK supermarket.
👩🏻💻I started to get annoyed at getting surrounded by people when I was working in the library, but then realised they were all new sixth formers excitedly doing their homework and tried to channel their enthusiasm instead.
😻The cat we couldn’t find at bedtime, so presumed she was outside and we were worrying about her, turned up in the teen’s room at 3am.

😴 Woke up tired but didn’t need to get up straight away.
🦆 Did the thing where you post a problem to a forum, then solve it by replying to your own post several times. Problem solved!
🧶 I thought I’d run out of the beads in the colour I needed for my knitting but I found a small amount that I hope will be enough.

👻Taught someone to play the Arkham Horror card game. We got beaten up by the Ghoul Priest but he was happy to come back for more.
🥱 For a bit I thought the late afternoon iced coffee had over-caffeinated me, but I think it’s worn off now.
📖 A pleasant evening with a book, it’s nicely cool enough to snuggle under a blanket.
