⛅️ The weather was cooler today but still bright and summery, much more up my street than the past few hot days.
🎶 I was working in the library to the sound of the parent and toddler singing group which was oddly soothing.
🗑️I remembered to go over to the rental house and put the dustbin chocked full of rubbish out for collection.

There’s been a stack of low key-grrr stuff but also
🤗 The teen got back from France exhausted but in one piece.
🌺 I got introduced to the Pikmin Bloom game which is proving delightful.
🚙 A car load of stuff got distributed to two charity shops without hassle.

🧳 The teen tells me they are all packed up and ready to travel back home tomorrow. (🤞the 🚆 runs to timetable this time!)
👩🏻💻I think I got the old code’s logic detangled & simplified in the new code.
🌧️ The sound of the rain falling on the conservatory roof is very soothing. (I said it was like being on holiday in a caravan and my partner was very 🙄 but it’s still nice).

☀️ The sun remembered to come out for the summer solstice.
🪟We finally decided which blinds to order for the windows.
🛍️My new bike shopping bags seem to be pretty decent.

😱 Last night’s nightmare washed me out but it was, of course, only a dream.
🌅 I suddenly realised it felt holiday like while I was doing decidedly non holiday like things - there was evening sun! Something we haven’t seen much of this year.
🗺️ One of my favourite games, Cartographers, launched on Board Game Arena to play online.

🧸Received a photo of the cuddly toys my parents loft insulators discovered, none were mine (mostly my little brother’s I think) but it was still a nice blast from the past.
🎲 We managed to find a quiet enough spot in the pub to play games despite the football being on the big screen.
💡 Mocked up a bike headlight with my phone torch as I left mine charging at home; got me home safely at least.

I’ve been meaning to do a catch up edition of #3GoodThings but I’m just not good at it on a large scale even though there’s been plenty of good stuff. So on a small scale…
🩲I managed to get washing on the line & brought it in dry rather than leaving it out all night.
📷The teen sent photos of French canals to us this afternoon.
📑Wrote out what needed doing on a work project and it’s less than I thought.

🚆The teen’s day of travel didn’t go to plan but they’ve found a hotel with their friend and can finish the journey tomorrow.
🫧Inside the rental house is now sparkling clean. Just a couple of minor fixes to make, the garage to empty and the garden that already broke the lawnmower to tidy now.
📕Finished a book with an ending I wouldn’t have liked in another book but it worked in this one.

👩🏻🔧Fitted the new back mudguard on my bike and replaced brake pads while I had the wheel off.
🚪We got a report from the neighbours that the door was open at the rental house but it looks like nothing nefarious, we just left it not quite latched shut and it blew open. It’s fully locked now!
❤️🩹My mum FaceTimed to say she was out of hospital. I didn’t know she was there until yesterday so it wasn’t too stressful (for me, think it was for her!)

💆🏻♀️People who take care of me when my head is achey. It is better now.
🚲 Got a new mudguard for my bike delivered. Fitting it is a job for tomorrow.
🏹Used an arrow to unblock a vacuum cleaner hose. It worked.

😈 Accidentally put a demon to rest when a random train of thought led me to reframe something in the past.
🛋️ My new sofa got delivered! And made it through the doorways!
🥃I won a cracking game of Distilled with my manure & horse blanket flavoured aged Shochu.
3 June 2024
🧊Cleaned up the fridge at the rental house we’ve moved out of.
🛻Arranged council collection of the old washing machine we don’t need.
☎️ Made three phone calls in a row which is a record in recent years. Actually the first one was received not made but I’ll take the credit anyway!

🌸The poppies and other wildflowers lining the cycle path were glorious in the sunshine.
☕️ Coffee & breakfast at a 1950s railway station buffet, it was very much not 1950s fare, i.e. it was lovely. I don’t think the 1950s would have known what to make of granola & a latte!
📥Found places in the house for much of the random stuff lying around in the hall.

I’ve had a few days where I’ve just stared at the #3GoodThings prompt and my brain has just said “grrr”. Let’s do better today.
🌅The rays of setting sun across the thick hardback pages of my book were delightful.
🐦 As were the blackbirds singing away outside whilst the patio doors were open this afternoon.
🥳The teen did their last uni exam of the year, online from home, and reckons that that one at least went pretty well.
