🛍️ I’m done with shopping. (I’ve probably forgotten stuff, there’s one thing I might briefly try to find tomorrow, but mentally I’m done with it.)
🚲 All the Christmas shopping has been done by bike which makes me happy. (I thought about taking the car to the supermarket but two bike trips felt like a better idea.)
🫖 The teen makes a good cup of tea.

✉️ I don’t know what my partner’s done to it, so I hope it’s reversible, but our letterbox isn’t clanking in the wind tonight like it was last night!
🎄 We got the Christmas decorations up.
🧼 I cleaned the bathroom. I’ve been putting it off forever and it really didn’t take very long, hoping I can remember that next time.

💴 I actually won a board game involving auctions. I never win at auction games! (It was QE.)
🐜 I fixed an annoying bug that eluded me yesterday. (Involving a dumb site that changed its brand to a single letter domain, grrrrr.)
🌟 I got my first advent of code star in 4 days, hurray! (Haven’t tried two of the missing days yet, got the wrong answer on the other.)

💌My Christmas cards are all in the post now.
🛍️ I bought a bagful of Christmas presents without getting stressed out by being in town.
🐱 I was worried the cat was being ill but she was just throwing up the ribbons she’d eaten. The ribbons are now out of her way!

🤗 Me, my partner, our teenager & the cat, all together under one roof for a couple of weeks.
📷 My brother shared a batch of photos of my grandparents house with me. Good memories.
📦 A Christmas present parcel was unexpectedly delivered while I was out that luckily had no give away identifying info on it.

🌅 I’ve slept through a lot of sunrises lately (a good thing in itself) but I got to see a nice one this morning.
🚙 A day of easy mostly uncongested driving with lots of podcast listening in one direction & chatting with the teen in the other.
👨👩👦 A chance to catch up with my mum & dad this evening too.

🍻 A pub that we thought was derelict has been refurbished and reopened. I didn’t really believe they’d manage it before Christmas but I’ve just had a couple of very nice pints there.
👩🏻💻It was an easy day in the advent of code (and I had time to have a bash at day 12, still not there yet).
🧑🏻I’m off to pick up the teen from uni for the Christmas holidays tomorrow. Excited to catch up with them properly.

👋 Met up with one of my aunties for the first time in four years. It was fab to see her!
🔥 We went to a Saturnalia parade featuring Roman soldiers with flaming torches.
🏙️ A favourite Cities Skylines YouTuber ran a stream at a reasonable hour in European time for a change which was fun.

🎲 I finally found my concentration span this evening, just in time for a game of Dune Imperium which I really enjoyed.
📞 I figured out which of the three landline/voip handsets we have is the only one that will hold onto a battery charge long enough to use it.
🧀 I found a cafe that makes a good lunch sized Welsh Rarebit (I love it but mostly it seems to come in ridiculously large portions).

☀️ I managed to get outside and catch a decent stretch of daylight for very-nearly-midwinter and the sunset was lovely to boot.
📚 A new book in a series I enjoy that I didn’t even know had been published yet popped up as 99p ebook, so it was an easy choice to decide what to read next.
🧠 Playing about with strange programming languages that make my brain hurt, in a good way though!

📚I think I might have found my reading mojo, not sure where it was hiding, but I couldn’t find it for the past few weeks.
🎁Finally got round to ordering a few Christmas presents.
🍪We forgot biscuits at the supermarket but my partner popped to the local shop to buy me a packet.

🎲 I had a nice day out at the ACNW board game con, met up with my old board game group, would have liked to have stayed longer.
🚲 Whilst I left my bike parked at the train station today I worked out how the bikes on trains thing works on my local line and am not too scared to try it out now.
🌬️ It’s been a wild, rainy, windy, blustery day but I’m home and warm and dry and in my pyjamas now.

🏔️It was nice to see the Yorkshire hills again.
🚙 🚗 🛻 🚌 🚛 All the traffic jams on the motorway, there and back, were on the other carriageway, our trip was pretty smooth.
🎄Evening walks are very pretty with all the Christmas lights appearing outside people’s houses.

🤝 Met up with my business partner for the first time in forever. (18 years I think, no one believes that we really do just work together remotely, but we really do.)
💰Had an entirely separate, completely online, meet up with my accountant to finalise the company accounts for the year.
🛜The internet is pretty bloody amazing.

👩🏻💻Enjoyed solving the first three advent of code puzzles
🏡 Started thinking about the next house move because a house that looked possible had an open day. Not the right house for us but the reasons why make interesting conversations.
😴 Two really good nights of sleep in a row, can I make it three?!

🏊🏻♀️ Cold on the bike but it made the swimming pool feel like a hot bath when I got in.
⚡️ Checked up on the boat as I was worrying it would be low on electric (the heating has frost proof mode) and there was 2p left on the meter. Topped up now!
💻 Moving slowly and fixing stuff.
