🚧The water works are finished and my road is put back together and open again.
🐞I had a nice experience asking for help with a bug. The bug getting fixed is always good, but sometimes the help is not pleasant. Today it was.
📭I didn’t miss my delivery. It didn’t actually come but I made it home before it should have been here.

👩🏻💻There was code that I reckoned would take days to write and it took a couple of hours.
🗑️Which means that even though I have no idea what happened to most of the hours that there should have been in today I am still ahead of where I expected to be.
📨There was paperwork that needed doing and it is all printed, signed & collated and ready to go in the post now.

🚲 Long-ish ride on a folding bike this morning and it has tired me out.
🥗 Sunday lunch at the garden centre that was unexpectedly just what I wanted.
🪵The smell of woodsmoke on my clothes is nice.

🛥️It’s a boat day. Hurray!
🚲I’ve had my parents’ old folding bikes serviced & we got to use them this afternoon. One has brakes that are a bit squeaky but otherwise all good.
🗺️Poring over a canal map together and coming up with travel plans for the summer.

🛠️My CSS skills have improved loads recently.
🛑The end of something which I’m finding the positive side of.

💰My business accounts are all up to date, and I even caught a (minor but confusing) error from my accountant.
🦠Various bits of the bathroom have less gunk on them than they did earlier, and I removed an outgrown dressing gown that had been hanging on the bathroom door for redacted years.
🍪Huge ginger parkin biscuits that are excellent dunked in tea, although they struggle to get into the mug.

🧭Found a fun way to get back into a work project that I’m feeling tired with.
🚘The teen chalking a failed driving test up to experience rather than getting down about it.

🛸Clear(ish) sky to wave at the ISS as it passed over this evening.
👩🏻💻Spent the day doing the stuff I felt enthusiastic about rather than what I’d planned, it all evens out in the end.
🤗The pleasure I get from reading other peoples three good things and sending them tiny hugs through the medium of favourites.

🧺A basketful of junk has been rehomed from where it had taken root in the living room.
🌄I’m just really enjoying the light with the frost and clear skies lately.

😡I was super grumpy (in my opinion - probably wrong - it was both understandable and unjustifiable) but I went for a walk by myself to stomp it off before I fell out with anyone on a permanent basis.
🚌Remembered that buses exist and took a one way walk to the village at the end of the line and rode home as one of two passengers on a double decker for £2.
🐒Enjoying watching some Planet Zoo gaming on YouTube and now I want to play that as well.

⌚️Finally got my Ring in the New Year badge on my Apple Watch (actually yesterday but I only noticed today).
🤕Family member had an accident but they are walking, talking and recovering. And I didn’t find out about it until that was certain, which is two good things really.
☕️ Two coffee shops in one day, which probably means I’m over-caffeinated but it’s been very pleasant.

🤩Posted a thing on a forum and the first reply told me it was awesome, which made me happy.
😍The teen got some good news, happiness by proxy.
😷The whole family are pretty much well again, and I hope it stays that way!

🐈 Paw prints in the snow outside.
📻Tidal (music streaming) picked me some Icelandic choral music which I would never have selected myself but was the calm wintry background music I needed today.
😘The teen sorted some stuff out on their own that I was expecting to have to help with and I’m proud of them.

🛒 I did the supermarket shop so the kitchen is well stocked with junk food 😂 There are reasons my partner prefers to shop alone!

⛄️ It snowed just enough to make Yorkshire look like an Alpine village.
💡 A snowy sunset walk where the houses were just lighting up, also very pretty.
🔥My home office’s underfloor heating takes a while to get going but keeps my feet nice and toasty when it does.

🚲 Back to my regular Sunday morning bike to the coffee shop routine, and the rain cleared up just as I left the house.
🧩Finally got round to finishing off the jigsaw.
🧵Put together a whole back of a quilt, the project is slowly moving forwards.

🚌 A nice stone built bus shelter provided welcome shelter when the weather forecast was completely wrong about whether it was going to rain when I went out for a walk.
🥰The teen is clearly much better today after several days struggling through Covid fog.
🧶 Enjoying knitting the blanket that I thought was going to give up on for a while.

🦸♀️ Right after being ill I always feel super humanly strong just by not being ill.
🧀 Each year there seems to be a different Christmas food that got overbought and/or under eaten. This year it seems that I have to finish off all the cheese. 😍
☔️ Walking in just the right amount of rain, not too wet and kind of cleansing.

🧩 Just enjoying working on through my jigsaw puzzle.
🗑️Gave up (for the day) on something that wasn’t working because trying to fix it was going to frustrate me. Pleased to realise it was time to stop before I gave myself a headache.

🦷My teeth got a clean bill of health from the dentist. Yay.
👩⚕️And yay for the NHS which is a fabulous thing and I hope it survives our current governments efforts to kill it.
📖The “done” list (rather than a “to do” list) I’ve been keeping is really helpful at reframing stressful days.

🎆 My parents came to stay for the new year weekend and it was lovely to see them!
🚗 And, hopefully without sounding too miserable, it was also nice to see them off this morning as it all gets a bit emotionally stressful having visitors after a while however much you love them.
☀️The sun came out after days of rain so I went for a spin on my bike without getting soaked.
