In my end of year check over of my reads I realised that I’d never got around to publishing a review of this so I’m backdating this to keep it in the right year in my reading statistics.

I read it around the time that the US president that I don’t like to name was arsing about with tariffs and it the information about manufacturing here was interesting to read in the light of what was going on in the world. At the same time I was getting from various board game manufacturers on Kickstarter and everything combined into a, well, not very flattering picture! The book is well worth a read.

I’ve often felt like the time I spent as a teenager working in a cake factory was — though entirely unrelated to anything I’d do later — somehow formative and useful. I like seeing how the real world gets put together and this added value to my understanding.
