The Secret Keeper

Like the other couple of Kate Morton’s books I’ve read (if I remember rightly) this concerns someone delving back into her family history from the present day, and plenty of the story takes place in the past, in this case that is wartime London of 1941. I picked the book up because I was after a pleasant page turner, nothing too taxing. Which is what I got. I’ve marked it down to three stars because I found the beginning pretty clunky and the characters of the past didn’t really start to come alive for me for a long time, the plot takes a lot of setting up. The second half of the book flew past just like I wanted it to though.
