I love Penelope Lively’s books but I am just not a fan of short stories. I feel like I get all involved in the characters and the setting and then… where did the rest of the book go?! But I tried these anyway because I love Penelope Lively, but I still feel much the same way. I think that there are some great stories here but they just aren’t the right form for me. I may try again at some point!
