The Postscript Murders

Another enjoyable series from Elly Griffiths! I didn’t realise this was the second episode until part way through the book, so I might read the first one some time, but no hurry on that.
A disparate group of friends find the death of an old lady rather suspicious and find out she was acting as a “murder consultant” to various mystery authors. It all felt a bit retro in many ways with a lot of the detecting being amateur and the professionals being mostly amenable to that. I thought the party shooting off from Sussex to Aberdeen on a whim was a bit geographically improbable but I was willing to play along.
The plot had numerous threads and I feel like a few of them got lost, which was a bit disappointing for a writer of Griffiths’ calibre, but overall it was a good fun read.
