Just as enjoyable as I remember the first in the series being though I think the mystery was stronger in the first one. I felt at the end of this one as if the author could have picked pretty much any character and pinned the murders on them. Which might just be because I’d got my sights on a different character. That didn’t detract from the entertainment very much though. And I’ll certainly be going back to read the third.

This edition had a short story in the back of it - and I’m not a huge fan of short stories, but this was a nice addendum to the series. It’s not a short mystery but just a quick story of what happened when Matthew and Jonathan first met, and I enjoyed it too.
