what’s striking me most about this book is how historical it all seems. 1964 doesn’t sound like a historical age to me even though it predates me. the fragments of differences that i pick up put me in a different era. idlewild airport. an eighty three year old being far too old to have been a second world war pilot. the population of the us being one hundred and eighty million.
