Oh my! I asked Darren to recommend me some science fiction to read and he handed me this. He was right and it was very up my alley. I found the two separate threads of the story hard going in places, but mostly just the switching between them jarred my mind a bit. I started off finding the human story more interesting but the spider side of things grew on me a lot as time went on. Which I guess was the intended plot through the book. A top-notch plot, and whilst I did find some of the analogy/metaphor bits a bit laboured and overegged, overall I thought it was very well written. A fab journey through time and space that’s well worth your time.
