Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

by John Le Carré

I could have sworn that I’d read some Le Carré books as a teenager, but having just finished this one I’m not so sure now. Anyway, I will read more, but not too soon as this one was pretty heavy going. Not hard to read, and very well written, but very dense in the plot. Cold war spy story with George Smiley trying to find a Russian “mole” in British Intelligence. It felt very much like something from a bygone era, probably because it is.
