Read half of the book, saw the film, read the other half of the book. A bit of a curious way to do things but I think it worked out quite well. Am I allowed to like both the book and the film or is it illegal to not declare a favourite? I was surprised at how similar Ripley’s character seemed in both media but also surprised at how different the film makers made the ending. Interesting, anyway, and another one where I’m going to read the sequel. (Because of the changed ending I don’t think they could make a sequel to the film at all)
