The DNA Detectives

Interesting collection of ideas, facts and stories about DNA. From how DNA profiling works and was developed to criminal cases where the technique been used, misused and abused. Pretty lightweight and I’ve heard a lot of it before. On the whole a decent read all the same although it’s let down by a few bits of bad writing/editing. If anything the language was a little too concise at times, fine in scientific writing but a bit of excess verbiage doesn’t do any harm in a book at bedtime type of read if it stops you from missing the salient facts and getting confused.
