I really enjoyed this. Completely different to The London Train but also very good. Following Stella from her childhood in Bristol through to her 50s. There’s definitely more to it in the way of social observation of Britain through the ages, but mostly I just enjoyed the surface story. It’s certainly one you could re-read and find many more things in it.
