shooting stars jacket
shooting stars jacket

i knitted this jacket for darren in about six weeks, most of which were during september 2003. darren picked the pattern and the colours out. the yarn is rowan all season's cotton in the colours midnight and deep marine. the pattern is in the all season's cotton collection and rowan's version looks like this.

this picture was taken after darren had been wearing it for several weeks and getting it pulled at by the cats but i think the intarsia stars look better than they did when i'd just finished it. they looked a tad uneven then but they seem to have settled in a bit now.

i really need to get a shot of darren modelling it.
