i'm making myself another pair of socks, these are in opal lollipop 1015 bought from the web of wool. the colours are identical to the first pair of opal socks i made but the pattern is different.

i'm using wendy's generic toe up sock pattern again. my next pair of socks - i'm going to try something different. maybe.

i started these socks on may 22nd 2004 and finished them on june 12th. i think the regia wool i used before makes a better mock fair isle pattern than this opal does, but i like the slightly more random feel of the opal which means that the heel doesn't wreck the pattern quite like it does with the regia.
