opal cream baby socks
opal cream baby socks

these were knit using the heel and toe socks pattern from zoe mellor's book of 50 baby bootees to knit.which is practically the same as the stripy socks pattern i used for these, down to the same typos, except these are a bit smaller. i didn't do the multicoloured bit of the pattern for these socks either as i was using up bits of patterned yarn again. this yarn is opal cream 1022 sock yarn which was leftover from the first pair of socks i made last year. i think it's interesting to see how the yarn knits up in the two scales. these baby socks are 32 stitches around, i think mine were 64 stitches.

these socks are also pretty damn close to being identical twin socks:

opal cream baby socks match!

i knit these socks soon after i bought the book in january 2005.
