i have a hankering to knit a lace shawl, god knows whether i'll wear it at all when it's done but it's an itch i need to scratch! i'm going to make the birch shawl from rowan 34.

i'm using rowan kid silk haze in wicked, a colour which is more commonly known as black.

i started kntting this on 12th september 2004 and so far i'm finding it pretty challenging. the pattern is simple but the yarn is hard to handle!
