these socks are knit to the pattern called "child's sock in a miranda pattern" from nancy bush's book knitting vintage socks. they aren't child's socks though, and they aren't for my daughter miranda! i picked the pattern because of the name though. the original 1904 pattern was for a child's sock but with some thicker 21st century yarn and needles it has become a woman's sock pattern. i'm using lorna's laces shepherd sock yarn for the first time. i picked the colour called aslan.
i knit these socks soon after i bought the book in january 2006.
