Death in the Cotswolds by Rebecca Tope

In books read on October 19, 2008

Declaring literary blogging bankruptcy as I'm now eight months behind on logging books read and I would like to get back into the swing of things without dropping further behind!

Borrowed.

Making parallelograms: hard; finding the centre of a triangle: much easier than I'd have guessed. I got 4.4 overall. Will try not to spend all afternoon trying to better that!

Atonement by Ian McEwan

In books read on October 12, 2008

Catching up with a big backlog of read books, hence very short writeups.

I had this waiting to be read for ages, somehow didn't expect to enjoy it, but I did, lots.

Borrowed.

A copy of this book is available on BookMooch.

Happenstance by Carol Shields

In books read on October 9, 2008

Catching up with a big backlog of read books, hence very short writeups.

This is two separate stories The Wife's Tale and The Husband's Tale set during the same period of time. It wasn't anything like I thought it was going to be. They are really quite loosely joined pieces and weren't originally published as a set.

Borrowed.

Is There Anything You Want? by Margaret Forster

In books read on October 4, 2008

Catching up with a big backlog of read books, hence very short writeups.

A book that rambles through the lives of a group of loosely connected women. They are all linked in some way to a hospital clinic and in a twist of fate I ended up reading it in hospital myself. Enjoyable, but not my favourite Forster by a long way.

Borrowed.

A copy of this book is available on BookMooch.
