Georgy Girl by Margaret Forster
Forster's first book wasn't what I expected it to be. I enjoyed it but much prefer the things she went on to write.

Consequences by Penelope Lively
Catching up with a big backlog of read books, hence very short writeups.
Loved this - bit predictable and circle closing towards the end but that was made up for by some great story telling early on.
