This is a terrific read and I'd love to see it take the prize. I did see one critical review of it just today: the reviewer didn't like the fact that the 'issues' and 'themes' were all so clearly laid out for the reader. That's true, but it didn't dent my enjoyment at all; if anything I was more admiring of Ho Davies's ability to produce exactly the book he clearly intended to. I agree.
